FISHING AND CRABBING ON THE OREGON COAST

Terroir is so much more than soil type and climate. It reveals itself often most clearly in the vernacular culinary experience of a place. We see it in wine countries of the old world, where cheese made one hill over or salumi from the neighbor’s pigs are as present at table as what’s in the glass. In Oregon, we are rich in wild foods, easily harvested from land and sea with the right knowledge, or an ace guide.

We’ve teamed up with the best to pair fishing and foraging excursions with world-class wine and hospitality. We are so spoiled by the sparkling seafood pulled up from the cold waters off the Oregon coast, an expression of our place as true as the wines we produce.

Join us on a private, chartered fishing trip followed by a dockside crab boil.

Whether you arrange for seaside lodgings or allow us to book you a car, helicopter, or private jet from accommodations in Portland or the Willamette Valley, the boat embarks from Garibaldi, Ore. We’ll rise early – the best fish bite at first light – and spend the morning smiling like dopes, fishing rods in hand. No trip on the water is complete without setting a few Dungeness crab pots; after a day on the boat, relax dockside as the captain boils the crab you pulled up just minutes before. We’ll pour you a selection of wines, ours alongside the rarest bottlings from our favorite producers from around the world, while you crack open a wealth of crab legs. Your catch of the day will be cleaned and packed to bring home on dry ice.
